From the beginning.....

I am an avid knitter and crocheter for many years now and you can find my adventures with yarn over here, http://sheknitsattrafficlights.blogspot.com/. Recently though I have been very interested in exploring quilting. It isn't that I just discovered quilting, you see I have been an actively acquiring fabric, templates, and quilt books for the last 20 years. Yes, you read that correctly....I have been a collector of quilting crap for a couple of decades now. My husband is used to my having yarn and needles around the house, but only recently have I started to unmask my quilting treasures and this has been very much a discussion topic between husband, whom I will call HWCAC (He Who Complains About Clutter), and I.  More about the household dynamics later....first I want to show off my first block.  For my birthday HWCAC signed me up for a quilt class at what we now call OUR local Quilt Shop, Cozy Quilt Shop.   Apparently he had the idea that I should start using up some of my Stash.

I am so tickled with this block that it has really triggered a bigger quilting passion than just collecting stuff. HWCAC has no idea what he has started....
